The Shift: Expanding your awareness
May 17th-19th, 2019 House Island, Maine
Kacy, RYT200 and Jocelyn, Medium & Healer and owner of NSM Wellness in Hampton, NH have joined forces to offer a heart-felt, transformational retreat May 17th-19th, 2019
Shamanism is about being connected with nature, understanding that we are earth-based, the real and living knowledge which is then used for balance, health, relationship as well as success in all that is that we do.
During this weekend we will take a Shamanic Journey, practice yoga daily focusing on the Chakra system to harness our spiritual energy, bathe in sound healing and explore meditation to awaken our awareness. On House Island we are completely connected to nature and our natural environment with 360 degree views of the sea, the sound of waves and sea life. This weekend will offer stillness and connection to our inner self and provide the tools needed to reintegrate into everyday life.
The retreat is located on secluded and private House Island (Casco Bay, off of Portland, Maine) surrounded by private beaches and outdoor space for hiking, lounging or yard games. All inclusive entails two nights stay, water taxi to and from, all organic meals prepared by chef, water, coffee & tea, yoga classes, meditation, Shamanic Journeying and Energy work.
About the Island
The first European‘s to settle in what is now known as the state of Maine landed on house island in 1621. With its proximity to the mainland and the large bay the settlers built the first houses on this island and so named it House Island. Fast forward to the 19th century and house island with this unique position in Casco Bay was an ideal location to build a fort. With Very little usage in the war of 1812 and then the Civil War fort Scamell is relegated to being just historic status. In the early 1900s house island was known as the Ellis Island of the north. Thousands of immigrants were processed on this island before being allowed to enter the country.
“House Island is one of the most unique places you will ever stay.”
This 10,000 sq.ft. artificial turf area is framed with the original foundation of solid granite from a hospital that was once there and used during the immigration of Europeans that wanted to come to US and Canada in 1904. Enjoy this space for volleyball, Badminton, crochet, bocce ball, horseshoes, or just kicking a ball around… it can accommodate a very large tent for weddings, or hosting a grand function.
